Expectations are obviously high with an event titled “The World Beer Festival,” but if the past is any indication of what’s to come, beer enthusiasts are in for quite a treat. This year, the World Beer Festival returns to Cleveland, Ohio for a second year. To learn more about this event and what to expect, keep reading.
What Is The World Beer Festival?
The World Beer Festival is exactly what it sounds like — a world-renowned event that celebrates both domestic and exotic beer. You’ll find everything from your standard Bud Light and Miller Lite to lesser-known wheat ales, stouts and porters. But the massive selection of beer is just one of the many reasons why thousands of people flock to the World Beer Festival each year.
Here are some of the highlights of the upcoming 2014 World Beer Festival:
- Over 200 different types of beer
- Food buffet
- Educational seminars
- Art of Beer Experience for beer ingredient sampling
- and much, much more…
“Cleveland is a much more progressive beer town than people realize and there are a lot of exciting things happening in the world of beer here. It’s a great beer-loving community, full of camaraderie and wonderful beer bars of all shapes and styles,” said Bill Wetmore, Director of Marketing for Duvel/Ommegang.
Belgium Brews Added To The 2104 World Beer Festival Lineup
One of the new additions to this year’s World Beer Festival is Belgium beer. Presented by Duvel Moortgat USA, A Taste of Belgium will feature a variety of Belgium-made beers, including Liefmans, Brewery Ommegang, Brasserie D’Achouffe and Maredsous with styles such as the Belgian Tripel, and Belgian Brown just to name a few.
Belgium is a region that’s known for its exceptional-quality beer, so it only makes sense for organizers to add this new category to the lineup.
